Three stations are in contention for the deepest, depending on definition. The deepest platform of any station measured from street level—that is, the greatest vertical distance a passenger can cover to get from the entrance to a platform—is the Honoré-Beaugrand platform at Charlevoix, at 29.6 m.

However, the greatest vertical distance a passenger must cover to get to any platform in a station is at Lucien-L’Allier, where both platforms are 27.1 m deep (deeper than the upper platform at Charlevoix).

Finally, the deepest platforms below ground level are found at Beaudry. Although the vertical distance between the entrance and the platforms is 25.9 m, the platforms are located a block (about 130 m) away from the entrance, and over that distance the ground rises about 4 m, so the platforms reach a depth of about 30 m below the surface immediately overhead.

The Honoré-Beaugrand platform at Charlevoix is also the lowest platform in elevation, at 14 m below sea level. The highest are at Université-de-Montréal at 102 m above sea level.¹

Note that these figures represent metro platforms only. In particular, at Édouard-Montpetit, the REM station reaches a depth of 70 m, making it the deepest station in Canada and the second-deepest in North America.
