EXTENDED HOURS ON THE BLUE LINE
26 August 2002
After requests from student groups at the Université de Montréal, the STM decided to increase the operation hours of the blue line by 65 minutes. Six additional trains will now run each night and the last train will leave either terminus at 12:15 AM every night.
To celebrate the occasion, Lunik organized a mini-get together to stay out later in the blue line than ever (on a regular night)...
| The first regular train ever to leave after 11:10 poses at the Saint-Michel platform at Snowdon metro.
| | The Télécité sign announces the very extension we're there to celebrate...
| | The first train leaves Snowdon metro... and enters history!! melodramatic much?
| | We got to ride "first-class" (in-joke) to Saint-Michel... here's Lunik clowning around with some train route signs he'd scored earlier in the day.
| | Here's proof...
| | Last train of the night enters Saint-Michel station.
| | Here goes the last train of the night... Good luck to the endeavour and it's great to see the blue line's hours extended! |
