This station is distinguished by its vibrant and flamboyant use of bright colours. Predominantly in pink and violet towards the west and green and blue towards the east, these vivid concrete panels give a wonderful energy and life to the station's design, as do the rectangles and semicircles in their shapes. Adding to the feeling of movement are stainless-steel tubular elements that run and curve along the length of the platform, serving at different places as decorative elements, handrails, and supports for benches. The panelling and tubes were planned by Jean-Noël Poliquin.

The design of the rest of the station is equally bold, including sharp angles in the concrete-and-glass kiosks and wide overlooks down into the station's volume. The western access on rue Fabre is one of only four automatic entrances in the metro system. The bright colours and powerful design make Fabre, unlike many other stations built in the tunnel, aesthetically brilliant and definitely worth a trip.
