
Born: 1949, in Saint-Ephrem-de-Beauce (Chaudière-Appalaches)
Born in the Beauce, Lauréat Marois moved to Quebec City in 1967, where he still lives and works. He obtained a degree in fine arts from the École des beaux-arts de Québec in 1971, focusing on graphic communication and silkscreening, and a diploma in art education from Laval University in 1972. He has taught silkscreening, drawing, and painting at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.
